Aluminum 7075 CNC Machining

7075 aluminum alloy is a cold-treated forging alloy with high strength, far better than soft steel. 7075 is one of the most powerful alloys for commercial use. 7075 aluminum alloy has a tight structure and strong corrosion resistance and is best for aviation and marine plates. General corrosion resistance, good mechanical properties, and anodic reaction. Fine grains make better depth drilling performance and enhanced tool wear resistance.

Mechanical properties

Tensile strength σb (MPa): ≥560

Elongation stress σp0.2 (MPa): ≥450

Elongation rate  (%): ≥10

Note: Mechanical properties of seamless rob

Specimen size: diameter ≥ 70mm

Heat treatment

The forming properties are better in the state, annealed and newly quenched state and the strengthening effect of heat treatment is significant, but the heat treatment process is strictly required. Corrosion resistance is poor, but can be effectively protected by pure aluminum cladding; easy to produce cracks when welding, but can be welded and riveted using special technology.
